She was a singer and an actress in her native South Africa who became connected to the world of aromas through the cosmetics, toiletries and perfumery industry. In New York, she joined Elizabeth Arden, conducting personal makeovers and image updates for the fragrance and men’s grooming area. She became Marketing Director for Fragrances and Men’s Grooming at Lancôme Paris, then Vice President of Fragrance at Tiffany. She spearheaded the development, marketing efforts and introduction of the first woman’s fragrance, “TIFFANY,” in the U.S. and internationally. Her accomplishments include creating fragrances for Tiffany, Tiffany for Men, "Society" for Burberrys, Perfumes for Trish McEvoy, Home Fragrances for Diane Von Furstenberg, and at Avon Wellness, she launched a collection of vitamin-infused body scents. Ms. Phillips is a recognized "professuer de parfumes," skilled in the art of creating personalized fragrances.
