The Pilates Method is a mind-body form of exercise, one that increases strength and flexibility, improves posture and body awareness, and enhances self-confidence and vitality. Those who practice Pilates are less prone to injury and experience better overall health. Embarking on a Pilates exercise program can be the first step on the path to a new physique and perhaps even a new approach to life.
She has enjoyed multiple careers as dancer, Radio City Rockette, actress, singer and massage therapist. She started dance training at the relatively late age of 23, but using Pilates she transformed her body into a sleek professional dancer's physique. A combination of passion, focus and determination enabled her, against the odds, to succeed. She capped her performing career with seven years as a Rockette in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, then in the Broadway show "Sinatra : His Voice. His World. His Way." Whether personally pushing herself in physically demanding roles on stage and film or delivering healing therapy as a massage therapist, Karyn's knowledge of body and its potential is the foundation of her instruction. She infuses her teaching with an aesthetic style that embodies the grace, strength and flow that distinguish the Pilates Method.
