Look up, as aerial artists suspend themselves in the air from trapeze, hoops, and silks. These are performances of elegance, virtuosity, sensuality - a richness of imagery offered only in dreams. It's never too late to run away and join the circus!
You or your gift recipient will fly through the air with the greatest of ease in a private, individual one-hour lesson in the aerial
disciplines with Jordann Baker of New York City's Lady Circus. She teaches students of all ages and abilities on the apparatus of
choice: Trapeze, Aerial Silks, and Lyra (or Aerial Hoop). Jordann works with the student at his or her own level in a safe
environment to bring out expressive and personal movement style in the air, and her teaching emphasizes having fun while learning
good technique. She has a great ability to instill confidence and provide success to even the most timid beginner. Your lesson takes
place at The Sky Box Studio in Brooklyn.
She is an accomplished aerial acrobat whose performances combine grace, flexibility and raw athleticism with exceptional technique and improvisational flare. As an inspiring instructor in the circus arts, she strives to challenge and explore all areas of interest. She performs solo and with the Lady Circus company in NYC and internationally. She imparts strength and grace to her pieces which have tantalized audiences at the Joyce Theater and the HERE Off-Broadway Theater in NYC, combining a fusion of art, dance choreography, and aerial acrobatics.
