Uncommon Grounds.
Preventing coffee from loosing its characteristic taste and aroma is the essential element in grinding coffee. Instead of crushing the coffee beans like many grinders, the Antigua Electric Burr Grinder (a professional model scaled down for use in the home kitchen) features a sharp conical blade that deftly cuts the beans to release the maximum amount of flavor. Special gearing prevents the beans from overheating. The grinder can be adjusted from a coarse French press setting to a fine Italian espresso setting. The Antigua Grinder grinds up to one pound of beans at all levels of roasts, from dark oily espressos to the lighter, dryer roasts of filter coffee. An airtight lid prevents the coffee from losing its aroma, and a small storage compartment keeps excess cord neatly hidden.
