Going, Going, Gone! |
Baseball fans across the country have said goodbye after 85 years to a building built on memory after memory. Never again will any player patrol center field like DiMaggio or Mantle, or sit behind home plate like Berra or Munson, to step into the batter's box like Ruth or Gehrig. The stadium has close its doors for the final time and those moments and memories of the "House that Ruth Built" are all that's left in the minds of those who witnessed them.

Hey, Get Your Sack-a-Nuts Here!
One constant at Yankee Stadium since the days of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Murderer's Row has been the sweet smell of Bazzini dry roasted peanuts. Peanut vendors with ridiculously accurate throwing arms fling bags of peanuts 10 to 20 rows away, sometimes across entire aisles. Now, the New York ballpark experience is available anywhere in America, a unique and nostalgic gift for the baseball fan in your life. Offered is an official "Peanut Vendor" Gift Box, filled with 6 official half-pound Bazzini "Nut Club" peanut bags.

Some Ball Yard.
Yankee Stadium opened on April 18, 1923, when John Philip Sousa and the Seventh Regiment Marching Band led the Yankees out onto the field and Governor Alfred E. Smith threw out the first pitch. More than 74,000 fans crowded into the stadium that day to see the Yankees beat the Red Sox 4–1. Baseball legend Babe Ruth is said to have stepped up to the plate that day, taken one long look at New York's massive new stadium, and simply uttered "Some ball yard!" Nostalgic postcard images from the history of Yankee Stadium create a conversation piece, encased in a shadowbox keepsake frame.
You can almost hear the roar of the crowd in the background. (Measures 7 x 10 x 2-inches overall)
