Manhattan "Skyscraper" Cocktail Glass (Set of 2)

$36.00

The Manhattan is a boozy, sophisticated drink that embraces the energy of the city after which it is named.

As the "King of Cocktails," the Manhattan inspired its own post-Prohibition glassware, capturing the play between amber jewel-quality of whiskey and rosy hue of vermouth. The original Art Deco Manhattan glass was first produced for the bar trade in 1938. Its distinctive pattern is made up of concentric ribs, influenced by the signature skyscrapers of New York. These ribs are pointed so that if you rub your fingernail across them, it will catch on each one and you can hear a little "ting."

These 9-ounce beauties are heavier than most cocktail glasses because of all the glass that goes into making the ribs, and we are less nervous about using them around clumsy friends. Order several sets.
