Monument for the Ages.
Nine months before its destruction, master sculptor Ovidin Colea created a physical model of the most impressive skyline in the world. The World Trade Center complex had come to represent an entire city -- perhaps an entire culture. It was an amazing expression of art and creation and imagination — like the pyramids. It was a wonder of the world. Now the Towers are gone, and their absence has become vastly more powerful than their presence ever was. On September 11, 2001, Colea's monument became a soul-soaring statement of our faith in the future. The 8-inch-high scaled replica was intended as a desktop paperweight, cast from one pound of banded marble, and coated with a hand-painted metallic finish. Crafted in New York City, it has become a symbol of the city's irrepressible spirit.

A Moment in Time.
Windows on the World was the restaurant that opened in 1976 on top of the north tower of the World Trade Center, high above lower Manhattan's financial district. It was an enterprise that ranked among the modern wonders of the world. Sitting at one of the window tables, you had the feeling of piloting a huge dirigible, floating high above the busy streets below. In the remarkable Wine and Food Book, Wine Director Kevin Zraly and Executive Chef Hermann Riemer collaborated to re-create the fine dining experience, while photographer David Spindel's color photographs capture the elegant ambiance of Windows on the World. An extremely limited number of previously-owned volumes are offered to serious collectors. Out-of-print since 1986.
