Manny Wolf's Chop House Ashtray

$95.00

After founding the original TGI Friday's in Manhattan, in 1977 Alan Stillman purchased Manny Wolf's Chop House, one of the first great New York steak joints, housed a landmark 1897 building on Third Avenue at 49th Street, and converted it into a steakhouse named, for reasons still obscure, Smith & Wollensky.

Once icons of hospitality and glamour, ashtrays are part of Americana that now belongs to the past. Offering an ashtray from the golden age of glamorous smoking, now out of use along with cigarettes, but desirable for its connection to the culture of New York City in the twentieth century. Offering a rare ashtray from legendary Manny Wolf's.
